PROCESS: |

Cast aluminum is the most common type of aluminum wheel. The casting of wheels is the process of getting molten aluminum inside a mold to form a wheel. The process is inexpensive and so offers value-priced wheel options in the aftermarket wheel industry. |
|
Brute strength is what you get with Rickson’s steel wheels. Manufactured in-house by Rickson right here in the USA using state-of-the-art machining, welding and metal forming technologies, each wheel also receives the human touch before final welding which ensures that our wheels are rounder and truer than any mass produced steel truck wheel. These materials and manufacturing processes yield a wheel that offers the highest weight rating for any after market light truck wheel in the world. In addition, powder coating is an extremely durable process of applying paint and can be created in virtually any color. Black, white, red and silver are the most popular colors. |

OFFSET:
The offset of a wheel is
the distance from its
hub mounting surface
to the centerline of the
wheel. |
|
Zero Offset - for some trucks this is a nonssue,
but for many of the newer trucks (2005-up
Ford and 2001-up Dodge for example), this zero
offset will effectively cause the wheel and tire
assembly to be pushed outward and the tires will
stick out beyond the wheel well. Fender flares
are an option to counter the potential of flying
debris. |
|
Made with each specific vehicle’s factory offset specification,
or, as special order by request. Having the correct offset
allows the wheel and tire assembly to fit into the wheel well just as the
vehicle’s manufacturer intended. |
